Nursing agency in Scotland
|
Question:
I have just returned from a 6 week holiday around Europe and am now considering going back to work. I want to return to Scotland, particularly Inverness. I have searched and searched on the net for work, and have not yet found any that specify Inverness. My husband and I are trying to figure out if it is financially appropriate (we are Australian so the exchange rate is wonderful!) but I cannot find any specific info regarding this (anywhere from 10GBP to 35GBP). How much to agency nurses get paid in Scotland? (I am 3 years out of uni).
Answer:
You could try the newsgroup uk.sci.med.nursing which will probably have a few people who can answer your question. Have you looked at the Nursing Times' web site?
You can try a site: WWW.TMP.com they are an international firm, I saw jobs in the UK, but if you ask e-mail to be connected with a recruiter that handles Scotland and in your area of interest, they might be of some help. I am currently working with tem on a move from the US to AU or NZ and have found them very helpful as nurses are in high demand in those countries. Not sure about the UK though with their system of medicine.
