Nursing career???

Question:
I am a pre-nursing student hoping to eventually pursue a master’s degree in Neonatal/Maternal Nursing. Can anyone give me some advice? I.e. do you like your job? What are the positives/negatives? Future outlook???
Answer:
That's sure a loaded question. Here's a quick answer. Look into your heart and decide why you really wish to pursue a career in nursing. If it is from a genuine desire to help others to help themselves live happier, healthy lives then I'd say that's a pretty good reason. One word of advice, don't stop until you have your Master’s degree under your belt. It's good insurance and opens many doors to different areas of practice. Good-luck! Signed, nurse of 11 years.
