Question about nursing and financial aid
|
Question:
I’m a prospective nursing student.
You could say I’m getting little desperate.
How do I find a good nursing school?
Is diploma program a LPN?
Is there any scholarship out there for nursing students?
Answer:
Start going to see them and talking with the director and students and making phone calls.
In Ohio the LPN is a one year program, upon graduation you are a Licensed
Practical Nurse.
The diploma program is the two year program for Registered Nursing.
There are also three year programs for registered nursing that are called diploma programs.
And of course the four year program is the Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Good Luck.
Most schools do have financial aid for their students. You just need to talk to their financial aid office.
A diploma school is for registered nurses. I went to a diploma school 11 years ago. I didn't know any were left? My education was superior! At present I am in school doing the RN-BSN program. May I suggest that you attend a BSN school only because you'll have more opportunities for advancement later. Take it from one who knows!
For any prospective students put there in need of financial insurance, check out
FASTWEB at and simply fill out the questionnaire.
It’s a great service and it’s free.
